| .. Christian Dior: 1950s Flocked dress | |||
| The fabric is silk, cream/white background with jet black velvet to make the design. I don't even think even the French could produce silk like this anymore. The bodice has two big (1" diameter) buttons, they are quite cold right now, and looking at the back, I think they actually may be jet.... or black glass. The buttons are just for show, as the bodice is sewn closed in front. The skirt is beautifully pleated, no pockets. The whole dress is lined with organza. Fine Clair zipper painted white... all seams appear to be orriginal, and the hem appears unaltered. The condition is excellent. Inside the dress, a bit of the lining has frayed, and there is slight yellowing at the neck, but that is only on the inside. The outward appearance is as good as it gets. The Dior Boutique label is numbered. Bust 37" Waist 28" Hips 40" Length 40"
