.. Galanos : 1970s Halter gown

I imagine this awesome dress dates to the mid 1970s, but the style is so right now!

The gown is all silk, with a light crepe halter bodice and the most wonderful striped silk taffeta skirting. There is a built in silk camisole, but if you want to go for a truly glamours look, drop the cami down under the skirt (it is attached at the waist) and wow! The picture to the right shows the full, down to the navel, no cami look.. the pictures above show the with cami look. The bodice drapes beautifully, open back, just amazing.

The skirt is ultra full, ultra luxurious, with a nice crispness, and a huge pleat in the back that gives a train effect. There is also a very high split up the middle of the pleat... so a hint of leg will peep out from time to time, but its not overtly obvious.

Like most Galanos designs, this dress has a timeless glamour that will enchant and delight you every time you put it on.

The dress is in "like new" condition. I imagine this darling was worn only once if ever.

condition: perfect.
