| .. Hanae Mori: 1960s Bird Dress | |||
|
..I am a Hanae Mori freak! I am an avid collector of her early works, especially those with obvious Japaneese influences. This is a fine example of Ms. Mori's way of mixing traditional Japaneese designs with a French Couture design. ..This adorable dress is created from a fine, light as air cotton. The print reminds me of "blue and white" porcelian. The detail in the print is remarkable... sea birds in the waves... The cut of the dress is very lovely and flattering. There is lovely smocking across the shoulders, delightful fluttery sleeves, a cute tie at the neck (can be worn in a bow as shown, or could be worn open), and the smart matching belt.
