| .. Estevez : 1970s Swirl Jacket | |||
|
..Havana Born Luis Estevez,
studied in France at the house of Patou, moved to California
and became a pioneer of the fun, flamboyant look that . Of course,
like most fashion artists, he found inspiration from other pieces,
and this one is obviously influenced by the designs of Emilio
Pucci, but this jacket isn't just "pucciesque", but
has a life and personality of its own. The design is not only
beautiful, but it is Hand Painted on silk so it is basically
a one of a kind piece. It is not only beautifully painted, but
wonderfully styled so it could be worn with today's fashions
and won't look dated. The bodice is lined with green silk, and
the jacket closes up the front with little faux pearl buttons.
