..To put it mildly, I was completely under-whelmed by the re-re-relaunch of the Halston label. The so called "Halston Heritage" which was supposed to be an homage to the original, was, to me a mere shadow of the grace and refinement Mr. Halston devoted his life to achieve. What made Halston's one shoulder goddess gowns fabulous was not simply the one shoulder! It was the way the gowns would drape, how they fall perfectly to create soft folds and a slight skim of the body to create a simple elegance.

.. This wonderful gown was produced by Formfit Rogers in the early 1980s exclusively for Halston, using Halston's own pattern. It has yards and yards of luscious , silky, synthetic nylon that's machine washable (but you really should only hand wash these to keep them pretty for years to come) in a ravishing shade of raspberry. There is a long slit up the right leg. All the edges are rolled like a scarf finish. The gown has no closures.
