| .. I wish I could tell you more about the origin of this gorgeous dress, but this one really has me stumped. My first impression was it could be 1990s Gucci, but I eventually found a label that reads "100% silk, dry clean only, made in USA" so definitely not Gucci. The silk jersey is identical to the Gucci fabric. I really have no clue who the designer could have been or when this wonderful dress was made. ..Its a unique style, and I believe it can be done up in different ways. Its a dramatic, overdone cocoon style, with two small hand finished openings (like big buttonholes) at the front of the waist and two larger ones at the sides. There are two belts that can be strung through these openings to create the looks. I love it tied back the way I am showing it, creating a slight bustle.
