.. This is a remarkable 2 piece ensemble by Halston, circa the mid 1970s. The fabric is pure silk. The print is very unusual, its a jet black background with red, green and yellow bits that look like torn pieces of paper. Some edge are clean cut, others are rough.

.. The dress is absolutely gorgeous. Its a simple sheath cut spruced up with that gorgeous attached scarf detail at the neck and down the back. The dress is unlined and there are no closures.

.. The jacket is really more like a blouse. It is collarless, with buttons down the front and a snap and button at each wrist. There are little side slits. The jacket/blouse is unlined.

.. The beauty of this ensemble is it can be worn many different ways. The dress on its own is perfectly wonderful, and the jacket would be great with jeans, or an elegant long skirt.
