.. This is such a delightful dress. The fabric is 100% rayon that has the look and feel of Ossie Clark's famous "moss crepe". In fact, the big bursts of flowers also brings to mind Celia Birtwell's patterns for Ossie's crepe, though Diane's colorway is much more feminie than Celia's were. This dress is a deep violet blue, with tiny periwinkle and blush pink flower with celedon folliage.

.. The cut of the dress is so lovely, with a generous blousing effect on the top and a more slim fit on the skirting. There is elastic at the waist and a matching tie belt. There are also little ties at the end of the sleeves that when closed, create a little keyhole. The keyhole is repeated at the nape of the neck where the dress closes with a simple button. There is a small slit up the left leg.
