.. This dress just makes me giddy every time I look at it. It is just so precious, an absolute masterpiece by Mr Beene.

.. The body of the dress is divine silk velvet, the satin ribbon at the neck, sleeves and empire waist is also silk. The lace sleeves are beyond words. It seems to be handmade, it feels like linen. It is backed with tulle and there is a nylon mesh band at the bottom to keep the shape full. The dress is lined in silk organza. The skirt has a double slip that goes halfway down to created the volume under the empire waist. There are deep, hidden side pockets. It is a masterpiece of 60s style.
