| .. Saks Fifth Avenue: 1960s Jewel Tone Coat | |||
|
.. My jaw hit the floor when I found this coat. The colors are just delightful... jewel tones of emerald, amethyst, sapphire, ruby and pink tourmaline stripe vertically, jet black goes horizontally. The fabric is medium weight, the colors seem to be silk, the black is wool. Its an amazing textile, the kind all the Parisian couturiers clamored for. Its a chic cut, with great flap pockets and a little peter-pan collar. To top it all off, the black round plastic buttons are inset with multi color rhinestones to complete the jewel theme. It is lined, of course in silk. This is a couture quality coat, with hand finishings and amazing details.
