.. This necklace is just way too cool! It is a tiny model of an armillary sphere (an ancient astronomical instrument used to track date, time and various celestial happenings throughout the year). Don't ask me how to use it, or what the little signs inscribed all over it mean. The only think I can make out for sure is Ouest (French for West) and West, which should read Est (French for East) but for some reason they put a w in front so it reads West... strange but true. I don't know if it's an accurate device, but it is pretty darn cool.

. The necklace has three sets of hinges so you can make the armillary into a sphere. Its totally fun to use and wear. The chain is really cool too, little figure 8s (infinity) all curled like ribbons.  The toggle clasp can be adjusted 3 lengths, each toggle is a heart shaped charm etched with the Yves Saint Laurent signature. The necklace comes in its original box to boot! Like most YSL, it looks as beautiful from the back as it does from the front.
