| .. Mary McFadden: 1970s Pleated Top & Skirt Ensemble | |||
|
.. Most of us will never have the pleasure of wearing a real Fortuny Delphos, but if you want the look and feel of one, without spending a fortune, this is a very good choice. It one of Mary's more simple pieces, and sometimes in the case of fashion less is definitely more. The set consists of a little top with tie spaghetti straps and a hidden side zipper, and a slinky skirt. The skirt has a hidden zipper and a hook at the waist for a smooth, sexy look. The top would also be really cute worn with jeans for a night on the town. These pleated McFaddens, like the Fortuny gowns they were inspired by travel very well as they can be crunched and twisted and look perfect when they come out of the suitcase.
