..Words cannot adequately describe the beauty of this vintage Dior suit. Pretty much any Dior suit from this time period will be amazing, but this one really caught my eye.
..The fabric is incredible. I would say it is a lightweight silk/wool blend, of the finest quality. It is lined in an equally luxurious black silk taffeta. The tailoring of the jacket is mind blowing. Jacket is made of six panels, two front, two back, and two side. The sleeves are raglan, but it is really interesting how they brought the side panels up to a point under the arm, like a gusset, for ease of movement, and a refined look.
..The skirt is equally marvelous made of three panels. The front is totally seamless, with the panel wrapping around to the back. Then there are two 5" panels down the back for a sleek, sexy line. The little metal zipper is located on the back of the hip to integrate with the seams. There is also a small kick pleat at the back.
..I adore the big bow at the neck, and the matching "new look" belt. The label is Christian Dior - New York Inc. The suit is in amazing condition, with just a tiny hole in the jacket under the belt.
