.. This is a rare and lovely belt by Gucci circa the late 1960s or early 1970s. I think it is gold plated, as some areas have worn and a silver base metal shows through (probably nickel). There are 12 individual enameled pieces that measure 1 1/2" x 1/4" with twisted rings between. The enamel is real glass enamel, not the cheap plastic coating you see on lesser quality items. The belt closes with a long toggle that is stamped GUCCI Made in Italy
