.. This is one heck of a hot vintage dress. Based on the quality and extreme fabulousness of the dress, I really expected to find a fancy French designer's label, but sadly, there is nothing to attribute this beauty to.

.. The dress is made from layers of silk tulle that is ultra fine and super soft over a base of silk charmeuse. The bottom skirt area is also adorned with a swiss dot pattern, and is embroidered with metallic gold threads in a gorgeous floral pattern. The dress is made in a "mermaid" style, fitted to the body, bodice to hips, then free from above the knee down. The dress closes down the side with hooks and eyes. Do note the bands of ruching across the waist and hips, that sweep up in the back, harkening back to the days of the bustle, giving emphasis to the cures of the body. Its shocking to me to have found this in such an early dress. It really looks like Alaia or Gaultier could have sent this down the runway.
