.. This is such a special piece of jewelry, it gives me goose-bumps when I put it on. Yves never struck me as a religious man, and indeed, his lifestyle was not a pious one, but this necklace makes me wonder. It is large and bold, but its not a mockery of the faith. The large heart with the sunburst in the center makes me think there was love involved in the design.

.. The piece is made from gilt metal, I believe it is vermeil, not just gold tone metal as the color is brilliant gold. It is remarkably light for its size, but its not at all flimsy. As you can see in the close up photo, the piece has a wonderful texture, and open work. The cross has a convex curve so the center has space away from the body to enhance the drama of the open work. The necklace has a large bail, and its original velvet ribbon that can be tied to any length. The back is textured in the reverse of the front's texture, and it is stamped in the center YSL Made in France. It come with its original velvet pouch.
