..This was my all time favorite collection by Rei Kawakubo - Comme des Garcons. I believe it was in the late 1980 or early 90s that this dress was the height of avant garde fashion.

..Its made of sheer silk chiffon... the bodice is an op art dot pattern... the dots get squished down and elongated towards the tummy... The skirt has checkerboards and swirls over the dots.  The over-skirt is pleated coming out from the camouflage cotton ribbon. 
The dress is unlined. There is a hidden back zipper.
