.. Its funny, most Jean Muir I see is either black, or navy, but the rare pieces of color, are bright, vivid and artistic creations. Take for instance this rare beauty made of 100% cashmere (made in Scotland). Its a smooth knit up top, and ribbed from the hip down. The sleeves are enormous at the shoulder, and taper to the ribbed wrist. It brings to mind an exaggerated "leg o mutton" sleeve.

.. The colors are so bold, an almost orange red, deep jade green, ultra violet and sunflower yellow. Jean Muir was an artist as well as a fashion designer, and occasionally she would work art into her collections. This is obviously one such piece.
