.. This is not your average 1950s wool coat. This divine garment was crafted from a stunning boucle tweed of jet black and shocking pink fibers. It is one of the most striking color combinations I have seen in a coat from this era. It is fully lined in dreamy silk taffeta. The buttons are thick, black plastic, the extra button is still sewn in the lining.
.. The design of the coat is as much a thrill as the textile. Its a straight cut, with inset sleeves. The exaggerated collar, cuffs and slash pockets are the crowning glory, serving to make this coat stand in a league of its own. Though it was not Parisian made, the quality is as good as and Dior Couture coat I have ever seen, with extensive hand finishing, and perfect seams.
