.. Neiman Marcus: 1970s Andante Sweater

.. Forgive me, I must gush about this fab little sweater for a while.  Its simply one of the most wonderful garments I have ever had my hands on. Yes, I am a sucker for artsy, one of a kind, handmade garments, but this one is truly one of the best I have ever seen. I wish there was a makers label (the only one is the Neiman's label) so I could give praise to the person who made it.

.. It is a knit, a very fine boucle of amazing space dyed, earth tone yarn. It is super soft, I think it is a raw silk. Within all the browns, and rust tones, there is just a flash of green that is hardly perceptible. The panels of knit are finished by a trim of black and red yarns. The panels along the back have an open finish of the black and red, with an added bit of green and black to attach the panels. The kimono sleeves have a wonderful detail that reminds me of tribal Afghani work. A piece of soft, woven, black fabric was embroidered with peach, green, rust and aqua blue. There are no closures except the long tie belt.
