.. This is one splendid ring! It is stamped Mexico 925 on one side, and Mateo Taxco on the other. I believe the stones are aventurine.

.. The design of the ring is very unique. I only found one other example of a Mateo ring on the web, it had a similar look with a large tigers eye. His choice of stones was as unique as his designs. The silver seems to have a life of its own. The piece looks organic, and alive. Its a heavy piece, loaded with silver. It is one of the best Taxco rings I have ever seen.
