.. Halston: 1981 Beaded Coat

.. This is one of my favorite styles of Halston beading. It dates to 1981 (a dress with this particular pattern of beading is shown on page 190 of Gross & Rottman's book Halston) and it is quite a wonderful thing. Its all hand beaded in aqua blue and clear crystal beads on a sheer silk organza. The coat is unlined.

.. It was designed to be worn open, and there are no closures. I imagine it with a white pantsuit, or a micro-mini skirt. It is a weighty garment. When you put it on, you will feel like royalty... it just feels like something very, very special.

condition: very good, no bead loss, no holes, no stains. There are a few reinforced areas inside along the shoulders. They are not patching damage, but were put to prevent damage. I do not consider this a flaw, but needed to be mentioned.

size: about a 6
. The bust, waist and hips are fairly free. The bust can go to 38"
. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 14"
. Length 43"
