.. Its not often I find a Parnis I consider Swank-worthy. Her later stuff can be a bit stuffy, but her early work always piques my interest. This pretty little number got my heart beating big time. I thought perhaps it was Dior, or possibly Ceil Champman. When I found the Parnis label I had a good chuckle as I really wouldn't have guessed it. Her early work is quite rare, and ones this superb are never seen outside the glass of a museum collection.

.. As I said before, the dress is silk satin in the most astounding shade of petrol blue. For American "ready to wear" it certainly has the look, feel and structure of French couture. It is prime down to the last detail, from the perfectly pleated bodice, to the dreamy hip swag, to the sarong style wrap skirting. This is a GORGEOUS dress!
