.. You see alot of "vintage" Valentino dating tot he 1980s and 90s, but it is very rare to find one of his early pieces from the mid 1960s. This my friends, is a piece that dates to around 1964-1967.

.. This dress is a stunning work of art in mod orange and cream. The fabric is rich, sumptious cashmere (may be a blend, but it feels like pure cashmere).. . it is absolutely dreamy. All the cream is backed with orange, and vice versa, so this is a very thick and warm garment. Its two seperate pieces, either one can be worn without the other, but together they are amazing.

.. The orange dress is a beautiful thing indeed. The seamless shoulder, kimono style sleeve , the dropped waistline at the hip, the little mock turtleneck and the shocking (at the time) mini, mid thigh hem makes this a perfect example of 1960s style. The little pocket detail is just for show, the little buttons at the wrist are orange enamel and gold tone, with little Vs in the center.

.. The cream vest dress has deep pockets high on the bodice. It is closed on the right side, and is opened with buttons (white enamel with gold and big Vs) on the shoulder and down the side.

.. Everything about this ensemble is couture. This is a very rare, and extremely wonderful item. ````````````````````````````````````````````
