.. There is no McFadden label, just the Saks Fifth Avenue label is found, but I guarantee with 100% confidence that this is McFadden. I know her imitators like George F and the like, and this is real Mary! Nobody does the silk like she does (not even the great Fortuny), and the jewels down the back are so very Mary.

.. The shade of pink is quite striking. Its somewhere between Barbie and Shocking pink. The horizontal pleats of the bodice and the vertical pleating of the skirt makes a very flattering look. The bodice is structured, and line in organza. The skirt is loose and flowing, with a nice spring in the pleats. McFadden pleats are quite sturdy, so don't worry about crushing them by sitting.

.. If it was just a pink, pleated McFadden dress, it would be gorgeous, but it goes over the top with the huge band of jewels, beads and pearls down the back. The large center, diamond cut crystals are nearly 3/4" in diameter. There are also emerald cut, princess cut, and various pink cut crystals. Silver beads and embroidery accent the jewels, as do a few pearls here and there.
