..This skirt is just adorable. I can assure you that you will never find one like it again. I believe the fabric is a wool/silk blend. It is very light and crisp. The hem is finished with cotton muslin, and the waistband is backed with a strip of nylon to keep is stiff.The skirt is not quite a full circle, but it is very full.  I am showing without a crinoline, but with one, it looks great too.

What makes this skirt really special is the wonderful hand painted scene all around. It is either oil, or acrylic paint, done in a typical 1950s style. The beautiful ball gowns, fans and court coats are painted with extremely fine detail. It funny, the scene is very "Marie Antoninette" but the expressions and body language is very sassy . The candelabras glow with candle light, and the whole hem is dotted with little roses. The painting is signed, Comiaux.
