1950s Lanvin Ball Gown

This is one of the most glorious gowns I have ever encountered. Made entirely of pink silk, every inch of it exhudes grace and sophistication. The shade of pink is perfect... not too precious, but totally flattering to any skin tone.

The cut of the dress reminds me of an eary Victorian style, with a wasp waist, and very slight bustle effect in the back. I adore how they created a slight gather at the small of the back that cascades down into the rich fullness at the bottom.

The gown is in incredible condition, with no flaws at all to mention. If you are tiny enough to wear it (sz 4 or 6), it is a must have.

The slip is quite a work of art in itself. I think the main body of the slip is silk, and the "bustle" in the rear is made of nylon crinolines covered by layers of moss gauze. The crinoline hem of the bustle balloons under to give an extra bit of lift at the bottom.
