.. How does a young man from Mississippi go from being nearly homeless, to the toast of Paris? Hard work, a good school, and TALENT, TALENT, TALENT!! Patrick Kelly had vision and art on his side. He broke the barriers in fashion, reinventing, and achieving new levels. Had he not passed away so soon, I believe his style would have evolved and shaped modern fashion into something different.

.. Kelly, being of African decent, often worked African themes into his designs. The leopard is an African animal, so it was fitting he would pay homage with this dress.  The fabric is a luscious pane velvet, with lots of lycra for good stretch. The quality of the velvet is super fine, and super soft, not the scratchy stuff that came later.

.. The dress is to be worn tight, but it is so flattering. It is definitely made with a woman's body in mind, as it hugs your curves perfectly. The cross over neckline gives it the look of a wrap dress.
