.. This wonderful set smacks of Jackie O' charm, but the wonderful, whimsical brocade gives it a very young look as well. In immaculate condition, this set was worn by the mother of the bride in the 60s, then was cleaned and put in storage until I acquired it. The dress is a simple sheath, zipper down the back, lined in what feels like a cotton/silk blend. The coat closes with cloth covered buttons, has two side pockets, and is fully lined in what feels to be some kind of acetate (gray). The brocade is not as shiny as it seems in the picture, more of a mat gold with the blue and tan flowers.
