.. This amazing outfit is desirable for so many reasons. The condition is PERFECT, like it has been in a time capsule since the day it was made sixty some years ago. The print is wild, and very unusual, with brightly colored fish, eels and starfish. It has its original wrap/shawl, which is also in pristine, unworn condition, and the style of the dress is a work of art in itself.
..Check out the bodice. It has boning in the back and front, with one super long stay to keep the fabulous point. The skirt is attached to the bodice at the waist except for 4" across the tummy. It is an open wrap style so the only seams are at the waist, and it ties at the left hip.The wrap is really cool and totally reversible. It is notched in the middle so you can fold down the edges to make a contrasting border around your neck. It is beautifully shaped to be easily worn in all sorts of different styles.
